The Black Death was one of the worst diseases ever known to man. Some number of 75 to 200 million died, or suffered from this disease. The way that The Black Death traveled over to Europe was on fleas that were on rats that just seemed to jump on the boats to travel over. Others say that the disease may have travelled on the Silk Road with the Mongol armies and traders. By the end of 1246, The Black Death had reached sea ports of Europe. Once the plague hit the seaports, it all went downhill from there. With the Plague spreading from home to home, it was killing everyone in its path. Some people in Europe were lucky enough to recover from the plague, but even though they were safe, they still had permanent damage to their skin that looked like black spots. (A.K.A.- The Black Death). Very little, as few as 1%, actually survived the plague. Very little families actually survived the plague. Even the royal family (the King and Queen ) actually got hit with it. Yes, they survived, but they was still permanent damage on their skin. Sources: "The Black Death: Bubonic Plague."
