Philosophers are those who love wisdom. They seek out to find the truth about the world. Philosophers give insight to those who do not know about the universe. 3 of the well known greek philosophers that everyone knows are Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. Each and every Greek philosopher has a distinct philosopher.
Socrates was the first of the 3 well known philosophers that appeared right after the Peloponnesian war. Socrates believed in his own system of philosophy, the Socratic system. This system is basically using questions to find something out. This was the same thing that Sherlock Holmes used to use for his cases.Unfortunately because of the his philosophy he was sentenced to trial. Socrates took his own life before the people from where he lived did it.
Plato is the second Greek philosopher and the most famous one. Plato was the student of Socrates. Since Plato was the student of Socrates, he wrote a story on him. Plato made the Academy which was a retreat for his scholars. Plato is famous for proving that the earth was round. Plato was really well known by the philosophies he had all over his home of Athens.
Last but not least the 3rd and well known Greek philosopher is Aristotle. Aristotle was a student of Plato. Aristotle believed that the proper behavior is suppose to represent the “golden rule”. He was also the teacher of a great leader we all know as Alexander the Great. Aristotle later developed major works like logic, physics, and politics. Aristotle had many others works that he developed during his whole life.
These philosophers opened our eyes to things that we never thought of before. They were the one that really opened our minds about the unknown world. Socrates brought us critical thinking to solve cases. Plato proved to us that the outside world that we live on was round. finally, Aristotle told us depending on our behavior we would always have a golden rule. If we never had these people on earth to develop these philosophies, we would never have thought of anything at all.
